As a huge New York Islanders supporter, I am happy to say that about a week ago, the NHL and NHLPA made a deal for a new CBA, just ready for radification. I can't wait til October! Oh, and by the way, the off[season will be a wild one. Because of the new cap, everyone's going to lose someone they don't wanna lose. Anyone know of any players they don't want to lose, or ones that you want off your team? More too the point, who do you guys want to go where?
Aww yes, it's going to be a great winter. Can't believe we survived the last one :-). Hm, I'm a bit worried about the Canucks, who are my favorite team at the point. Apparently there's a good chance that Naslund won't come back from Sweden, and Bertuzzi is, ahem, not a sure bet either *grin*. As for the Leafs, they're in big trouble, since they're already close to the salary cap, just with their "big" players and no one else. They'll probably keep Belfour and Sundin, but might have to get rid of Nolan Magilny (who's a free agent anyway) might have to be traded. I don't really know about any other teams, but I expect a lot of teams with huge payrolls, such as the Rangers or Detroit, are in even bigger trouble.
The Rangers in Trouble. that's a nice thought. LOL. For those living under a rock, the CBA was radified. Yes!
The Isles lost Aucoin and Scatchard to free agency, Gained Miro Satan, and traded Peca for York. Ert! I don't know what to think anymore.
The rangers have a good idea which is to take advantage of their farm system and try and grow some Talent. Minnesota is doing that as well, but they aren't as successful, at least not yet. I care more about the minors how ever. Go Wolves, and Manitoba can suck it.
wow, I thought the wings would look like shit this year, but 12 games in there 11-1, it's a beautiful thing, and as for some teams, like both new york teams, I'm not at all impressed
